History of the White Marlin Open
This year is the 50th anniversary of the Ocean City White Marlin Open. This is an amazing fishing tournament that is open to all. Tournament Rules
You have to meet certain requirements to enter the tournament. There can be as many anglers on the boat as you like, but they must all be registered and obtain any required fishing permits on their own. Anglers can only be registered to one boat. Each boat must fish for at least one day to be considered a participant but are welcome to fish all three days of the festival. Fishing hours are 8 am until 3:30 pm.
Only artificial bait is allowed, and all fish caught must be registered through a signed catch report. Fish must be weight before 9:15 pm the same day they are caught to be considered in the running for the tournament.
